Woah woah woahh. So I have to admit, I rarely pay attention to designer collections that don't fall under the spring/summer or fall/winter RTW bubble. Even couture is kind of iffy; Chanel always does the same thing, and Versace couture is...well yeah. I sometimes like the menswear shows, though. ANYWAY, what I'm trying to say is, I've just recently (yesterday) become aware of this genius Pre Fall collection by Stella McCartney.
Here's the second confession of the day: I'm not always the biggest fan of McCartney's clothes. Don't get me wrong- as a vegetarian, I'm 100% onboard with her non-harmful material use and don't understand why more designers don't practice it (you can read this post if you want to hear me rant some more about it), and I like her accessories. But I guess I'm not always on board with her color/print/silhouette combinations. What can I say, I'm a Raf stan for life.
But anyway, what I'm trying to say is that this collection by Stella in particular is fucking great. The 70s silhouettes, snake print loafers, that UH-mazing iridescent jumpsuit...I guess you could call it love at first sight. Cue frantic Ebay hunting 2 seasons from now.
