domesticated paradise

So considering the new Stylestalker lookbook takes place in Paris, I should be entitled to every piece since I'm moving there? I know, you're sick of hearing me talk about it. Don't worry, as soon as I'm there I'll start talking about moving to Indonesia or Zimbabwe or something. I'm a fickle lady.

I took 3 pieces of the new Stylestalker collection and styled them with pieces that are all under $100, and many are under $50. Being that Stylestalker is mid-expensive range for me, I thought I'd keep it all in the realm of realism.

On another note, I'm looking for a good black or tan felt hat to bring to Europe, any suggestions? Preferably $60 or under. Something like this, or this. If you have any advice, I'll give you a million dollars big ol' hug.

(I tried to find links to everything, but if you have questions just shout in the comments!)

I truly have to know (giveaway results!)

forever21 faux leather skirt, Michael Kors bag and sandals (now on sale!)

The winner of the giveaway is The Key to Chic, so congratulations, lady! I've sent you an email, and I'll be sending along your bathing suit this week. Yay! Giveaways are pretty fun actually, I think I'm going to do  one more before I move. These photos are from last night via Instagram- follow me @CAGEDWONDER. I went into the city to sing backup for my friend Kiah Victoria's show (she's releasing her EP soon, and she's basically the new Frank Ocean. Watch this.), and went out to dinner with F on St. Marks...and dessert. As you can see below. That thing tasted so amazing that F literally yelled at the waitress when she tried to take it away. What a fiend.

Big kisses! Have a killer weekend :)

not so nasty

Nasty Gal blouse, vintage skirt/earrings, Sam Edelman sandals, Urban Outfitters sunglasses

An excerpt of a conversation I had the other day with my boyfriend:

F: "It would suck if we ever had to dress up like one another, because your thing is dresses and skirts and I would look really weird in a dress."

Me: "Why...wait...what?"

End of convo.

This is as "boho" as I ever get, which isn't really boho at all. Just kind of flouncy, which makes so much more sense to me during the summer than skintight jean shorts and tank tops. Give me an open-armed top and silk chiffon bottom any day.

cOnEy IsLaNd (+ a Giveaway!)

I haven't actually done a giveaway in like 2 years. But when Simply Beach contacted me, I was more than happy to choose a fancy-shmancy bathing suit to "model" *word being used very loosely*, and give away a second one to one of my goooorgeous readers!! You should check out their website if you have a minute, it's literally chock-full of the best looking lingerie and swimwear I've seen in a while.

DETAILS:
*The bathing suit is the same one I'm wearing in the above pictures while I was at Coney Island (not the actual one I'm wearing. A new one. You know what I mean...). It's a Seafolly high waisted bikini, size US 6-- will fit between a US size 2-6
* This giveaway is open to all readers, both US and International!
*To enter, please:
- Follow The Minx on Bloglovin
-Leave a comment on this post with your email, so I can contact you if you win!
- For an extra entry, follow me on Twitter and/or Tumblr, and indicate that you did so in the comments
* I will randomly choose the winner on Friday, July 20th!

Love you all.  I know that one of you will look amazeballs in this suit, it's really flattering and fun for the summer (The high-waisted bottoms are actually already sold out on the website!). I'm wearing it in more of a retro way, but I could see it with anything from a cutoff denim vest to a crochet maxidress. Also, because I'm going to be mailing the suit myself, you can expect a totally cute little note from me (it will involve stickers) :P Have fun!!
