no light, no light

H&M blouse, Forever21 dress, vintage/ebay jewelry

I thought that Black Friday deserved an appropriately witchy look. Instead of fighting the hoards at Walmart (not sure where the closest Walmart is in NJ), I went to Salvation Army for my kind of shopping madness. 7 items, 10 bucks. Bam.
Also, happy post-Thanksgiving to all those that celebrated! I had such a wonderful time, so thankful for my family and everything else in my life.

Fall Favorites Round-Up

I'm a notorious trend flip-flopper, meaning that I can never decide what my style "is" on any given day. Living in New York, I'm constantly bombarded with beautiful, stylish people (many of whom are students at my school) who inspire the hell out of me. Then of course, there are the bloggers, who are clearly fierce and whose outfits I spend way too much time looking at and discussing with my roommate. What that boils down to is me waking up every morning, opening my closet and being at a loss for what statement to make with my clothes. But I think this happens to most of y'all, am I right?

Anyway, I picked out some of my favorite looks from 3 of my favorite online stores, each of which presents a very different take on the current trends. I wouldn't mind having any (all) of them in my possession. Each store's clothes are inspired by a blogger who I admire because they seem to be in full possession of their style.
The slouchy sweaters and (faux) leather pieces from Mikkat Market are perfect for fall. I'm definitely seeing pseudo-goth trend queen Starr wearing these.

I just discovered the awesome Etsy store BeBoldSunshine, and I'm really into their handmade printed denim and kooky vintage finds. Inspired by the one-of-a-kind Madeline.
Finally, the ever-innovative LN-CC store offers up avante-garde basics as well as beautifully constructed statement pieces. These all seem like something my favorite babe from Stop It Right Now would rock on a daily basis.

fear of a black cat

Some rando shots from hallo-weekend. Unfortunately, there were no good pictures taken of my EPIC Amy Winehouse costume, but for the other nights I was Posh Spice (turned out skankier than I wanted, but in my defense I stayed in my apartment all night), and Mia Wallace. My roommate Laura was a fashion victim, which I thought was brilliant. All in all a good weekend, but I did get people stopping me on the street during the Greenwich Village Halloween parade Monday night asking if my nose was really bleeding...smh.
