Comme le Vent Sauvage que le Diable Même ne Pourrait Dompter

Bobowoodlake, Sunscorpio, Niceroom, unknown

I'm slowly putting together a scrapbook of interior design inspirations, to help me with decorating my college dorm room. Now obviously, these aren't the typical undergrad digs, these are just rooms that I like elements of: the artwork, the color scheme, the little odds and ends that make it special. For example, I'm realizing that I love rooms with animal-related details- little sculptures of piggies and owls, furry (faux) rugs and the motif of wings are all so interesting to me.

Des Fées

I was born on the first day of December
That means the beginning of the end
Between the last of the line in an emotional time
And the patriarchial rash in the wind
And I'm overwhelmed at the range of emotion
I can ride in some high, lonesome sound
I get so low I need a little pick me up
I get so high I need a bring me down

Jour du Vin

American Apparel leotard, Zara skirt, H&M shoes, antique silk scarf
I haven't done an outfit post in a while, but I'd like to start doing more as the weather gets warmer. I'm interested in experimenting with summer layering, because I don't like to get stuck in the jeans and t-shirt mentality. I also bought some cool pieces from Uniqlo today that will surely be showing up on the blog sometime soon. Right now, I just like wearing my antique scarves in funny ways.

Bonnaroo

So first of all, I really love the south. Having been a northeaster my whole life, I was a bit wary of the lower states. However, apart from the creepy glowing 40-foot crosses that lined the highway occasionally, everyone was super cool and gracious. And Bonnaroo was simply fantastic! Besides She and Him, a surprisingly disappointing concert, all of the other bands were amazing. My favorite concert, funnily enough was Jay-Z. Other great ones included Kid Cudi, Edward Sharpe, Miike Snow and The Black Keys. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I'm lucky to have such great friends and such a great boyfriend to have shared it with. And who knows? You might see me there again next June!

Une Boum, Alphabet

Viktor Vaulthier, Topshop collage by me
I'm doing some major Topshop lusting right now, especially in the shoe department. Laura and I are hoping to take a trip to the Soho locale in the next week or so. It would probably make the trip much more enjoyable if I could actually get a job. Oh, and the Bonnaroo pictures are coming, believe you me. Film can just be a little bitch sometimes. Patience please!

Also, I don't know if you guys care, but I wanted to announce on the blog that I'll be going to NYU in the fall! I'm so souped about it, it's everything I could ask for in a school. So the blog will continue no doubt, I just hope that NYC is ready for me...

Il Est Arrivé!

I won't be updating for about a week, because the time has come! Armed with my 35 mm, levi cutoffs, and best friends, I am off to experience the exhilaration that is Bonnaroo 2010. Wish me luck.
Also, check out this cover from Push It. Trippy right? My motto is, if it resembles Lady Gaga in any way, I'll probably be into it.

Océans Dans Les Yeux

Bonnaroo Collage # Deux

Comment if you'd like me to ID any of the pieces here

These second Bonnaroo collages represent outfits that I would very much like to wear, but most certainly cannot afford. Not that I'm counting down or anything (7 days), but lately most of my thoughts are consumed by planning what to buy on our huge Costco raid, how to both smell good and not shower for four days in a row, and Edward Sharpe. Viva la Tennessee!
