Chaudron Bouillonne

Have a perfectly wicked Halloween. I will be taking my harp and ear training midterms during the day, but I'm just looking towards the night. I'll post pictures soon, so you can see what I decided to go as!

Cendrillon

I found this illustrator via the Black Cigarette community on LiveJournal. She's a sweetie and her designs speak for themselves.

Permettez-Moi de Présenter

Some inspiration for fall. I got some really lovely Calvin Klein shoes the other day, fulfilling my desire for the perfect black flat. They have little clusters of beads on the toes, so I jingle when I walk :) I'll try to do an outfit post tomorrow.

Vera

His touch was so persistent, why did he touch her so persistently? It made her feel unlucky, unwelcome, a ghost in that house. She couldn't place his aura, his spiritual consistency was nothing more than a scarf, a peice of wood beneath her fingers, a song caught and strangled in a throat. Yet still he visited her, she with her mind of fire and an unquenchable curiosity that would be the death of her. If knowing was killing her, she would be dead within hours.

And still she could not stop. She ran because she had no way of walking, her feet would not carry her on the ground. The air was so much easier, the water was more welcoming. She climbed mountains to feel the wind whip around her torso and so she could feel that her hair was being taken away, one strand at a time. She wanted to be made of sand, eroded over time so that glimmering fragments were able to visit people and give them a nice feeling but she would never have to talk and explain things because everyone knows that words are meaningless to most other people.

She felt him behind her, his breath was so tiny. She raised her arms so that the hairs would stand up. She was barely present, smoke wreathed her head. She wanted the smoke to be from a bonfire, burned at the stake like that woman warrior. Her head was thrown back, and everything she saw was pulsing and shimmering as it exploded beneath her feet, a cavern.

Bien-être de L'Enfant

So I've been thinking a lot lately about my woeful lack of a costume for Halloween this year. I don't really like going as an animal or a concept, I like to be people. Last year I was Sarah Palin, and the year before that I was Amy Winehouse. I've always wanted to be Sailor Moon, my faaave cartoon character from back in the day, and while researching her costume I thought of all the other great 90s cartoon girls and their phat fashions. So I put together a few collages of my faves, can you guess what shows they're from (it's not that hard)? And If you have any other costume suggestions for me, just give a shout.

Trop Occupée Pour Toi (Des')

*Okay, so you know that saying "If you want something done, give it to the busiest person you know?" That person should be shot.
*I'll hopefully be doing some more film shots on Saturday, provided the SAT subject tests don't slaughter me before then. Physics? What?
*I will finally be making some money this weekend. That means I can buy lots of crack. And by crack I mean SHOES.

Ce Mec, Cette Meuf

Me and Sarah- taking New York City by storm. We took these shots on our break from music school this past Saturday, in between dodging rainstorms, scarfing down greek food and searching for bookstores that don't actually exist. My scarf became a headband because I was forced to camouflage my destroyed bangs.

Gross Feu

I want to have the same view on fashion as the Harajukus. They have no fear, no self-conciousness, never trying to conform to every single trend to avoid bothering others by what they are wearing. And it's so refreshing! They wear outfits that are full of joy, of making fun of themselves occasionally, and they always look edgy and interesting. It's something that I would like to explore.
