Two final (semi) outfit photos from Lyon. I got back into the US late last night, and it feels okay, but I miss France so much already. I have to say I much prefer the rhythm, the sound, the musicality of speaking French as opposed to English. In fact, I missed it so much that on the flight home I watched Amélie and read Numéro (scans soon, it's ah-mazing). 
Today was the hottest day of the year so far in Lyon. At 102 degrees (fahrenheit, that is), my friends and I decided to escape somewhere cool. We went to Lyon's biggest museum, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, which was endlessly inspirational. We then took a much needed repose in a faintly air conditioned cafè, and then it was back into the shopping trenches. For someone who just wrote a post about re-wearing her clothes, I certainly have been buying lots of new ones...
I have gotten into the European habit of wearing the same outfit more than one day in a row. I never thought I would be able to appreciate something like that, coming from a place where girls write down their oufits as they wear them, to avoid at all costs wearing the same thing with less than three weeks in between each wear. I have never done that, but there is definitely something to be said for not caring so much about what other people think about how many clothes you have, or trying to impress others. J'avais porté le même ensemble pour plus qu'un jour. Au New York, je connais des filles qui ecrivent leur ensembles, en fait, pour n'habiller pas le même article trop suivante. Mais, ça m'est egalle; je n'essaye impressioner personne.

It's incredibly beautiful here in Lyon. The weather is nicer than in New York (i.e. no more insufferable rain), and the food is nothing short of incredible. I've met some really interesting people, and I've learned SO much more french. For lack of any better outfit posts, here are some shots from L'Official, my new favorite magazine... although any mag with Marion Cotillard on the cover is bound to be my new favorite magazine.
Have you ever noticed that models don't actually kiss each other in magazines in the US? I wonder why not, I think it's kinda nice.
