Do you ever see something and realize it's everything you've been wanting to be?

Je Veux Te Manger

I'm having a craving for everything sheer...good thing I just bought a delicious pair of lacy thigh highs that can scratch that itch. Pictures to come.

On another note, I went on an audition today for this commercial advertising the French version of TiVo, I guess. All I know is that I had to speak french and pretend there were gladiators living in my kitchen. The point of this story is that the boy I did the little scene with looked EXACTLY like a really young version of Olivier Theyskens. He was super beautiful, very androgynous looking with long dark hair and a really soulful face. And...drumroll...he was wearing Vivienne Westwood pirate boots. You know, THOSE ones. Why, whyyy did I not bring my camera with me?! I wonder if he has a blog...

Chaque Fois, C'est Incroyable

I post about Built By Wendy's collections basically every season- well, yeah, every season. But I can't help it! Every time new clothes come out, my coveting-radar goes crazy. Spring 09 was no exception. Oh, for it to be warm...

Oh and by the way, thank you to the lovely reader who said I look like Daisy Lowe! I'm incredibly flattered.

Aggy et Ses Amis

Random Polyvore. I hadn't been on that site in ages, I had forgotten how addictive it is...
YSL in the NightAggy and Friends

I've just been given the Honesty Award so kindly by Jenna, and asked to cite 10 random things about myself. I hope they're not too boring haha.

1. I was born in Paris, but only lived there for 10 months.
2. When I grow up, I want to become an opera singer.
3. I've always wanted to be Japanese.
4. I would love to join the Peace Corps someday.
5. I'm allergic to pistachios, but nothing else.
6. I spend a lot of my time worrying about my faults, instead of concentrating on my strengths.
7. If I could meet any person in history, it would be Elizabeth I. Or maybe Leonardo Da Vinci.
8. I have an extremely loud laugh.
9. At the moment I can speak 3 languages, but I would like to be able to speak japanese, italian, spanish, portuguese and russian fluently.
10. My ambitions are so great that if I don't achieve all of them I will feel as though I have failed.

Now I have to give and tag 7 other wonders. I tag Patty, Nat, Melissa, Lydia, Petra, Shini, and Mermaid. Enjoy!

Je M'appelle...Loh-Lee-Tah

It's the docs again, sorry guys.

I have a penchant for layering skirts over dresses, under blouses, and all permutations thereof. It fools my fashion-deluded mind into thinking that if I'm wearing layers, I'm warm.

So, at the behest of Micaela I have begun thinking about putting some more novel excerpts on the blog, for feedback purposes. It's scary, putting my work out like that, but you guys were really cool about it last time, which made me so happy. It won't be for a while though, I'll do it when you're least expecting it...

My style has always been described as "artsy". I don't know how to feel about that. To me it seems like a nice way to say "all over the place". I'm not like a Camille or a Rumi or a Lulu, who have such developed senses of what they like and look good in. I'm still learning and changing, which is pretty normal I guess. I mean, I would rather be artsy than boring.

Mais, Pourquoi? Elle a Dit. Alors, Mon Papillon, Pourquoi Pas...

Things I don't appreciate/understand:
* Midterms
* Floral tights (sorry)
* Why Blake Lively is more famous than Leighton Meester? I understand she has a certain "look", but in my opinion Leighton is much prettier and exeedingly more interesting
* Using the word "nerp" instead of saying nope. It's annoying.

The other day I looked up my name on Urban Dictionary, and this is what I found:

"a girl who is italian, having to do with the mafia, practically runs the bitch, dont take no shit from no one, owns her man, not the other way around, handles the money, smokes the cigars, does the negotiating, etc. She fuckin runs the city."

Might have been the best moment of my life.

Mihoww

I think it's because of the lions in the post below, but I'm feeling rather feline lately...I'm seriously lusting after all things leopard, especially pants. They're extreme, but in a great way.

By the way, I promise an outfit post will be coming soon! I was going to do one today, but I got home too late and it's dark now. Damn winter.

But I have a question: What would you guys like to see on the blog? More outfits, designer bios, editorials, polyvore, etc. I have a lot of ideas in my mind but none of them seem to be able to come to fruition.

This will probably be my last post until Wednesday. I have midterms next week, and I've acually been buckling down to study like crazy. Can't wait till I'm free...

Avant-Automne/Hiver 09

The best pre-fall collections, IMHO:

1. Alexander Wang

2. Emanuel Ungaro

3. Balenciaga

4. Matthew Williamson

I'd just like to thank all of you lovely bloggers for your honest and totally wonderful comments on my writing below. You've given me a lot of confidence, and I was really honored that you took the time to read. You guys are the best <3

On another note, peep the first entry of WWWD, about cold weather fashions. Agyness Deyn...cherry red doc martens...

That girl is always biting my style.

Est-ce Que Je Peux Lire Votre Esprit?

He knocked on the door and waited, breathing in the musty smell of her hallway, a combination of old cigarettes and memories. Then the door opened, and there she stood, dressed in the most extraordinary of costumes.

She was wearing a short yellow dress that was a bit tattered and torn, but hadn’t lost any of its lemony vibrancy. Under that was a dove-grey petticoat made of netting that matched her thin dove-grey flats. On her head was a tiny yellow satin cap where a real daisy poked through the top and stood upright, a floral antenna. There were more daisies threaded through her hair, attached to yellow ribbons that flowed long past the length of her locks. The same kind of yellow ribbon was wound intricately up her arms, and snaked around her ankles and calves as well. Completing the picture was a small set of fairy wings, glued to her shoulder blades. Her face was devoid of makeup, save for some large gold false eyelashes she wore, and whose size made her eyes look inhumanly large on her small, sculpted face.

The entire picture was an odd mix of being both sensual and childlike. For while the dress was very low-cut, she had no chest to fill it out, making it look like she had stumbled into her mother’s closet and began playing dress-up. And while the ribbons tied around her arms and legs were vaguely bondage-like, if you looked at them in a different way you would see a forlorn little butterfly, tangled in the shimmering ropes of a spider’s web. The effect was one of an almost grotesque attempt at irony, in that here was a girl making fun of the juxtaposition of this innocence and this womanliness, while she herself was being played a trick on. For she was the exact contradiction she was looking to portray. Luka felt this as he looked at her, and it inspired him. He immediately began thinking of ways he could interpret the mood of Casse’s costume on paper: Casse as a cricket mid-leap; Casse dancing in a rainforest, long venomous snakes reaching out to ensnare her, while she shimmied easily away, laughing gaily; Casse as the figurehead of a sinking ship coming to life…

Des Choses Que Je Botte-Janvier

Here are the things I dig, January edition. I'm going to try to do one of these every month, so you guys can see what goes on in this mess that is my mind...

1. Piperlime.com- For any of you who have watched the Rachel Zoe project on Bravo (if you haven't, you must. It will be the best and worst experience of your life) you may have heard her talking about how she picks shoes for a website called Piperlime. I checked it out, and I must admit-homegirl's got taste.

2. Fleet Foxes, The Fugees, and Aretha Franklin- All the Fs for January, which is fitting since my birthday is in January and my name begins with an F. Fleet Foxes are one of the most complex bands I've ever come across. If you want a truly mind-blowing musical experience, listen to Valley Winter Peasant Song. I'm thinking of proposing we do an arrangement of one of their songs in my a cappella group. The Fugees are simply one of the best groups out there. Their music, if you don't already know, infuses hip hop with amazing reggae beats and soulful lyrics. Lauren Hill has one of the best voices out there. How can you lose when you've got Lauren and Wyclef in the same place? Aretha...is Aretha. Enough said.

3. Learning Spanish-I'm planning on visiting my friend Maria this summer, who lives in Madrid. I've gotta be up on my lingo if I'm going to be talking to all the guapo chicos...

4. Wedge Boots- I don't think I'm on the level of the Rick Owens creations yet, but I love the look of a fierce tall wedge boot with just about anything. The short booties are also really cool for wearing with a skirt or cuffed jeans.

5. Anything A.P.C.- Can't go wrong.
