Last Day in London/First Day in Toulouse (Yes, I'm Wearing the Same Sweater)

This was our last day in London. We went to see the London National Opera's version of Candide in the afternoon, and went to bed early, because we had to get up at four the next morning to catch a plane to Toulouse at seven. Needless to say, it was not my most glamourous moment.

But arrive in Toulouse we did. Toulouse is called "The Rose City", because the buildings are made out of beautiful reddish-pink stone. The people are friendly and very relaxed, and I have already gotten to practicing my (limited) French.

As for the fashion: The women here are very slim and elegant, and their clothing is very relaxed. They are so unlike American girls, because they do not try to dress sexily. They instead opt for loose linen pants or jeans, simple billowing tops and dresses, and well-made flat leather shoes. This may sound boring, but it is not, for these women always choose interesting textures, colors and sillhouettes, making their fashion statements both unique and flattering. I love it, and I hope that after a month I will have adopted some of their sensibilities!

LONDON! Part I

So I've been here for three days, and we've been running ourselves ragged, hopping from the West End to Camden. Here's a quick update:

Wednesday- We arrived in London at nine thirty, got to our hotel at elevn thirty, and promptly fell asleep until five thirty. Then we grabbed dinner and fell asleep again.

Me at the airport

Tired on the tube

Eating in the wind

My first meal in London

Sketchily taking a picture of some girls' shoes while on the tube

Just chillin in St. James' park

Outside the gates of Buckingham Palace (This was taken right before the Queen invited me inside for a cup of tea)

More to come soon (the internet access here is wickedly slow)

Camera and Whatnot

Yay!! I have finally succeeded in uploading about a year's worth of pictures onto my computer (it's been a freaking ordeal). So here are some outfits from this winter, progressing into spring.

p.s.-Sorry about the bad quality. My camera is actually from the 1600s.

My cat wanted to get in on the action.

Yep, I'm pretty cool.

(Just ask if you want to see anything close up-and you can click on the pictures to see them a lot bigger)

polyvore etc.

these are just some random Polyvore outfits I've put together recently (thanks to Naomi for helping me discover this wonderful site!). I actually spend wayy too much time on it, instead of doing other, less important things (like homework). But anyway...

Also, I can't wait to get my camera working again! I'm headed on a European excursion for eight weeks this summer, and I would love to post pictures of the sights-and, of course, the fashion.
